Our Beliefs

TO THE JOURNEY AHEAD

  • We believe that the Bible is the source of authority in our faith and practice.
  • We believe in one God, the creator and sustainer of all things eternally existing in three Persons, that of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ who existed eternally with the father, begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary became a man. He lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death for sinners, arose from the grave physically the third day. He ascended to Heaven, is presently fulfilling his intercessory and mediatory ministry for His people.
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of Godhead and is the divine agent in creation and redemption. He regenerates sinners, seals, and baptizes believers in to the body of Christ. He indwells in all who are born again, empowering them for a better Christian living and service and guides them into all truth.
  • We believe that human race was created in the image of God, that by transgression they fell, and are sinners by nature and by choice.
  • We believe that it is impossible for humans for humans to attain salvation by their own efforts or religious observances; a person is saved only by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe that the Church began on the day of Pentecost and is a spiritual body of Christ into which all Christians are baptized by the Holy Spirit and eternally secure.
  • We believe that the Church is a community of baptized believers, independent in character and autonomous in function, existing in fellowship with other local churches of life, faith and order. The local churches have the responsibility of worship, self-edification and world-wide preaching of the gospel. Baptism by Immersion and the Holy Communion are the two ordinances given to the Church.
  • We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to gather the church and redeem creation.
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of humans.
